Spotting / Sighting

If you enjoy turning aircraft movements into a story you can actually follow, this subcategory brings together some especially interesting ways to watch the skies. PlanePin leans into the social side of spotting, taking aircraft-related X posts and placing them on an interactive world map so you can browse real sightings by location, view the original post, check aircraft details, and see nearby airports. TheAirTraffic offers a broader flight-tracking view, with a live map powered by a community ADS-B network, plus feeder tools, network statistics, and access to current and historical air traffic information.

There’s also a more focused corner here for publicly visible private-aircraft tracking. Celebplanes follows flights tied to celebrities, executives, corporations, coaches, and officials, pairing a live ADS-B-based map with owner profiles, flight histories, airport pages, CO₂ estimates, comparisons, and short summaries after tracked flights land. Tactical Air Watch takes a similarly targeted approach with a hand-picked roster of aircraft associated with prominent figures, showing live positions, recent departures and landings, flight histories, co-arrival analytics, and estimated emissions totals. Together, these sites are useful whether you’re casually browsing sightings, following live aircraft movements, or looking more closely at the patterns behind specific public flight activity.
