Disability Support
This Disability Support collection brings together trusted nonprofit resources for people with disabilities, people living with mental health conditions, family caregivers, and the communities around them. NAMI offers condition guides, treatment explainers, support-program information, advocacy resources, and ways to connect with local organizations or the NAMI HelpLine. The Arc focuses on people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families, pairing national advocacy and policy updates with practical guides, action alerts, events, and links to local chapters for community-level support.
For caregivers, the listings here are especially practical. ARCH National Respite Network helps families, providers, state programs, and advocates navigate respite and crisis care through provider-search guidance, fact sheets, training materials, policy resources, research, webinars, and tools for Lifespan Respite work. Caregiver Action Network adds condition-focused guides, checklists, peer support options, events, and a Caregiver Help Desk for the medical, emotional, legal, financial, and respite-care questions that often come with caring for someone at home. Together, these sites are a thoughtful starting point when you need information, connection, or a path toward local and practical support.
